Turbine sensor code. Varied probs shifting
97 2door DX auto.
Started this past winter...shifts startting getting abrupt and started slipping. 134k miles. Not sure if the fluid was ever changed. I had it serviced....they ran honda trans fluid though it 3 times as per spec. THis helped...shifts slowly became softer...of course it was cold out. It would also throw 2 codes once in awhile. Ever since it got warmer its worse. The light always comes on after i clear it after 20minute drive. It drives fine until its warmed up. I get all 4gears. Once its warmed up....from a dead stop it bypasses 2nd gear...is slips to 3rd gear then 4th when in 4th gear selection. When this happens i start going manually into 2nd from a light then put it in 4th. Also sometimes i get locked out of 4th...it stays in 3rd. If i pull over adn shut the car off i ususally get 4th back. I dont have the codes with me at the moment but i get 2 codes..one just means theres a fault and the other one calls for a turbine speed sensor i think. I took it to a tranny shop and he thinks the tranny is whooped but also thinks i may have luck replaceing one of the sensors...one with yellow wires?
Thoughts...help...info? thanks
