Ok, so basically the bottom line is that shifting a 4speed auto manually is not bad for the tranny in any way right? Every body agree?

yeah, just dont do neutral slams. thats HORRIBLE for the trans.

Ive done a few of those by accident.... you get so used to the rev limiter and once you slip it, its a very scary wake up call.

like remington said it would be pointless to shift it like a manual cause it only goes down to D2. So the question is can buy a new shifter, like found in a beefed up camaro, so you would have D1 - D4. I also would love to have a manual, but as money has it, its not happenin. Plus I would have to spend mad money on labor, I wouldnt know where to begin to swap out a tranny...

tman, Im not sure if I understand your question/comment, but as far as a shifter goes, I have a type R on the shifting column if you know what I mean.

my manual conversion so far has cost me $0...u just have to do illegal things when going to the junk yard.[sm=innoc.gif]..and also my homeboy (hondabboy) is hooking me up witht he trasmission..

That is damn honest considering the prices they put on the sh*t you do need and try to pay for.

and it costs a buck to get it...i have prolly already been like 30 times this year...so thats 30 bucks..but i have gotten a lot more then 30 bucks worth of stuff from there.lol...they dont even check my back pack anymore...they know what im up too..i go in everyweek with a back pack full of tools and leave dirty as hell but dont buy 1 thing...and they are like see ya next week...lol
