Default Rwd conversion

Does anybody know how much it would probably cost to do a rwd conversion by yourself?

I wish I could help you with a price, but something like this is 100% custom. I would try and find someone who has done it before and ask them questions if anything.

There are too many variables for comparing cost of a rwd conversion.
Here is one thread doing a conversion.

I kinda just skimmed threw a few of the responses you got and it seems like most people on this arent to helpfull. i cant give you an exact price but i have been looking into this alot for a build im doing.

for starters you need a civic shell and thats about the only thing from a civic you will use depending on the engine you pick up, the the engine, for my build im using a k24/k20 hybrid from an element and a rsx-s and then when it comes to a trans you dont have many options, i would suggest you pull one out of a s2k and most likely you will need a new adaptor plate and fly wheel to fit with the engine (unless your using the s2k engine as well then you can keep it stock). the tricky part is getting that to work and hooking it up to a rear axle. i found a fourm on import tuner (ill post it below) on a guy who used a silvia sub frame, axles, suspension, hubs, brakes, control arms, and steering colum and put all that into the civic (i think this guy was using s2k engine and trans). most of this will just be cut and weld until you get to the steering and driveshaft then some true custom work will come to play. on the build im posting below the guy did it (he is and had the help of actual professionals) for around $2,200 in parts. now if your looking at paying someone to do the labor (its a LOT of labor) then your going to be dumping closer to $10000 if not more.

I hope this helps and ignore all the negative talk about why you shouldnt do this, just remember when its all said and done it will be SICK!!!

here is the link from the build i found:

I must be missing the "infractions" here.

Lol at the guy saying he skimmed through all of 2 posts. These are the stupid threads newbs make, then NEVER come back onto the forum.

We all have agree'd that this is 100% custom. Anyone attempting this will need to research their *** off and know what they are doing. Thread closed.
