Default Need some help with tranny/clutch problem

I just got an 88 4spd civic std w/90k miles a couple days ago and its been driving great till today. when i realese the clutch and give it gas it doesn't go into gear until about 3 seconds after the clutch is totaly realeased. It also hesitates like that in the other gears also. is it the clutch ? this is my first honda and i really don' know to much about them but i do have some plans for this car. i was planning on putting a 5spd in either when the clutch or trans went but by the way its been driving i would have never guessed it would have happened so quick. if anyone could help me out id really appreciate it.

my brother had an STD modelhe went ahead and did the multiport injection swap with a b18

but anyways since its your tranny go ahead and just buy a five speed cable tranny and while your at it get a new clutch and d-series tranny will work as long as its cable but look moreless for an SI tranny (d16) its off of an SI crx or si hatchback both within the years of(88-91)

you have the canadian model hachback so just a tranny from any american or japanese model will be five speed MUST BE CABLE WITHIN 1988-1991

another idea is try to adjust your tranny cable
