Lets talk Tiptronic in a 93 civic.
Possibilities?
Anyone know anyone that has done this?
Which transmission would be the best to use for putting in a 93 civic(4 door).
I like idea/look of tiptronic transmission so if this is a possibility(I planned on putting it in my cb7 before but now I want it in my civic) let me know!

Yeah I was going to put it in my 93 accord.
but does it fit in civic?
The reason why is I like the feel of tiptronic.
Plus the Tiptronic S adapts to the driver

With enough money and time you can make one fit. Im sure theguy with the accord with tiptronic put a ton of time and money into it. Not worth it. get a stong auto if youre not able to drive a stick.

No I can drive stick, Its just the tiptronic is nice due to many reasons.
Traffic with standard blows.
Tiptronic S adjusts to the way you shift.
"the delaying of an upshift for increased acceleration"
"to increase the effect of the engine braking"
"to prevent shifts in curves"
"to shift down before passing, or to shift early in economic acceleration"
Its one of the best transmission you can get from what ive read from reviews
Tiptronic S - "It is an upgrade to the original Tiptronic, with the ability to adapt to driver's behaviour, and also allows driver to change gears without entering manual mode.[1] In manual mode, if there is no manual input for a period of 8 seconds, the system reverts to automatic mode."
But the question is, Which Transmission would I have to use. The transmission that is in the accord you speak of is a 98+ Prelude transmission would that fit a civic?

i think it would be cool to have. It would be very different to say the least. My friends bmw has it and it was fun to drive. Also my friend got it put in for a little over 600 bucks. I think he got hooked up tho so it might have been cheaper.

Yeah it sounds fun, I mean just tipping it forward for upshifting and down for vice versa.
But what tranny that's tip would fit in this hmmmm.
