I have 01 civic 5 speed im going to say both of my problems 1. is that I have to wait a second b4 i go to each gear if i wiggle the shifter couple times b4 i go to next gear seems to work and i have to give it more effert for each gear now? 2. one day i was on little incline and before i put the emergency brake on it rolled back and would slowly keep on moving back? so any suggestion would be great. Im takeing it too honda dealership cause still under warranty but i would just like hint of what it could be. The second problem didnt seem to start until had trouble shifting so could the problem be it is not going into first gear all the wayb4 i turn the car off. Thanks

 

for your seconed problem was your engine off and tranny engaged? i'm not sure 'bout ur first it could be a lose linkage connection.

 

doesnt sound like the clutch being worn. a linkage or slave cylinder mabie.

 

You don't put it in first, then shut your car off do you?

 

yes the car is off and the tranny is fully engaged as far as i know but also it only moves couple notches in the gear it feels like at a time but it does move more than once. Yes i turn off the car while in first but i hold in the clutch until it is off car has 55,000 miles on it too i think most of that was city driving
