RE: carbon fiber driveshaft?
ummm..... dont.... ummmm. ok. wait. hmmmm. why? strength? or lightweight? if weight, theres better places to take off weight. if strength, go to driveshaftshop.com. but they are expensive. but not even in the same ballpark as if someone made some out of carbon.

OK maybe i need to clarify this. See I used to be a big camaro buff, and they had all kinds of mods for driveshafts (you know the piece between the tranny and the rear end connected by u-joints). They made them in aluminum, and carbon fiber to reduce driveline rotation and take off weight. I keep forgetting that the civic is a front wheel drive car (sorry). But that is what I am talking about.

Yeah, I understand where the confusion comes from. But if you look at how axles are constructed compared to driveshafts, lightened axles won't help you out at all (well, maybe fractions of fractions of seconds in the 1320, but nothing you can measure).
