Default 97 turbo civic, keep ex tranny, or go with cx?

Hey everyone, my turbo project is nearing its final stage and I had a question about transmissions. Will a cx tranny hold up just as well with the added power as my ex tranny will?? I heard the gearing in the cx tranny is longer so I thought this would be better for me with a bigger turbo and my 9000 rpm redline?! Any thoughts, suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Aren't you kinda defeating the point with going to the longer gears?

no, a turbo has a broader powerband. but i still think you would be fine with the EX trans.
