06 Civic Si: Transmission Reviews?
I'm debating between a WRX TR Impreza and a Civic Si. Which car do you think will have less transmission problems? I'm planning on buying a car this month so plz give me some good input. Has anyone here with an 06 Si had any problems with transmission, clutch, etc yet? And plz post up your mileage. Thanks

are you asking this because you own a dodge product? i would assume that hondas new transmitions are like the old ones, where if you take care of it, it will last forever. but if you shift fast all the time, the syncros are going to wear out, just like any other tranny. but completly failing isnt so popular with hondas.

Naw, I'm just looking for another car. I have about 25,000 miles on my SRT-4 and I still have no signs of problems with transmission or anything. I think the other SRT-4s have broken transmissions because they don't maintain their car right and because some of them don't know how to drive. I've read a lot of the threads in the SRT-4 forum and I was surprised of the numbers of drivers who don't rev match when they downshift; they just let the clutch go. And there's also a lot of SRT-4's who love to burn out everywheree. That explains why a lot of SRT-4's break down.
I like Honda though. We used to have a CRV and it had 150,000 miles and still drove just like new. But then again, we change the oil, belts, trans fluid, rotate tires, etc. all on time.
