Default What is a set of hx's worth?

I'm trying to buy some hx rims off craigs and I got a few people willing to sell but as of right now there's on set I'm interested in. The guy says they are clean and appliance white and clear coated with new all season tires. Whatwould they be worth? I'm not sure on tire brand but he said he will get pics tomorrow but asked me to offer. I've seen plenty of sets go for around $300, so seeing as they are new tires should I be offering $400+?

P.S. The white wouldn't stay, I'd end up painting them, trying out a few different colors. I really want to try purple (same kind as my vc), gold, and like black.

Hmm and I'e been reading around and it seems some Civics have fitment issues with the front discs. Is it an eg only problem or does it transfer to eks too?

I bought mine for 300 with bad tires and they dont have fitment issues. I've never heard of that. Danomatic has some as well and I'm sure his fit well also. Who knows about ek's though.

Hmm okay cause I read about people having to grind some of their calipers so they wouldn't rub, I low balled the shnikies out of the guy and sent him a pleasent $250 offer, so I'll be expecting him to come back wanting $400. I need to sell my Drag's though... need em out of the garage so I have so money to buy these.

i would offer $325 and offer it up from there. i'm sure your Ej should be fine regarding fitment issues. I think they only apply to Si's and integras. Even with fitment issue, which you shouldn't have, you can just grind some of the corner of the caliper

EDIT: see if you can trade your wheels with him, with cash on top on his part

I know that EG EX Civics have calipers that won't clear without grinding a little, or spacers.
