Are these any good for lowering my car? (Pics Added)
I have a 1988 Prelude Si with 4 wheel steering. I'd like to lower the stance a little and still have a decent ride. Are these what's known as (TOKICO Blues) and is anyone running this setup? Can anyone give me any advice or recommendations on this product. The auction says it will lower my car 1.5 inches and will work with 4WS. I have about $400 in my budget for lowering my car and want the best bang for the buck. Here's a link to the ebay auction:

P.S. I have a '95 Civic EX and have Progress Competition Lowering Springs on my stock shocks and I like them, but I want to go springs and shocks on my Prelude.
Thanks! Bill

i dont really think the shocks lower your car but rather the spring. I've only heard good things about the Blues though, it seems liekreplacing both your springs and your shocks at a same time is a fairly common thing to do around here, and the blues are a common choice for the shocks

You don't "need" shocks but the fact of the matter is most shocks aren't designed for lowered applications and this in turn will screw up the valving/dampening of the shock.... now there are a few companies that build their shocks with being lowered as a possibility.... but if you want to retain your oe shocks you should get extended top hat units. What these do is they extend the top of the shock mount up into the cabin to compensate for the lost travel from the lowering spring, this means you will get the proper shock travel and dampening from the shock while still being lowered....
Also, to change the springs you have to take everything out and I can tell you for sure that if I could have a set of lowering springs I would have done so and saved myself alot of work. I could have had my illumina's already assembled and ready to go vs compressing the spring down to remove the old shock and re-install the spring on the tokico's....
