tein lowering springs ??
Well I have myself a pair tein lowering springs, and I just recently saw someone said the ride was bouncy around town. Can I also expect that? Also, the springs I have are for my 94 civic cx hatch, they will lower the ride height by 1.7", is this too much to not be able to hdrive in winter? I have stock 14 wheels right now. If so I will be selling the springs much cheaper then what the stores or net wants........instead of installing them.

I have also seen alot of sources saying you need new shocks or struts, and that over a 1" drop on oe shocks/struts are asking for trouble. Is this true? Can I use these springs on my stock struts, on a 94 civic cx?

If you are riding on stock 14" wheels, 1.7" should be fine.
People rave about Tein springs on this site, so they must be good. I don't have personal experience with them but don't fret about that.
In winter, just drive more cautiously. I have coilover because of winter, I raise/lower my car for winter/summer. It may be harder to get around, but you will be able to.
I you drop below 1" your stock shocks will more than likely go bad in a short period of time. The front shocks are infamous for this, although, my fronts have yet to blow with 1.8" front drop. Oddly enough, my rear shocks blew first. I replaced them with KYB AGX's.
So, save yourself the headache and get all new shocks right away and install them with the springs. You'll be happy you did in the long run.
Oh, and for future reference, a strut is the whole setup, shock and spring. Poeple get these confused because they always here shocks and struts. Trucks normally have struts (shock and spring) in the front a just shocks in the back (there are leaf spring, but they aren't like regular springs that wrap around the shock). So, strut = shock + spring

RE: tein lowering springs ??
KYB AGX: $90-100 each (Summit Racing)
KYB GR2: around $70 each (Summit Racing)
Tokico HP (aka tokico blues): about $150 each (but that's on ProCivic, so it's probably overpriced)
Tokico Illumina: Around $215 each (once again on ProCivic)
So basically anywhere from $75-$215 for each shock. Personally, I'm getting the AGX's when I get coilovers.
