I thought that in 5gen civics you remove it by unscrewing two screws on the buttom. If that is not the case than you are going to have to saw it off.

saw+car does not equal ghetto! Whats wrong with taking off the E-brake handle? THe thing looks like crap. Why not spend a little love on the inside, just like you do on the rest of the car? Maybe I should go buy some lights, yeah that would be awesome.
Winka, if you want to take it off, ...then take it off. You have to cut the handle once you get the boot off. The best bet is to take the center consule out. It is a pain in the *** to do.

Uhhh if you saw it off, you'll never be able to use the e-brake again. That's just stupid. Plus I think if you take out the center console, you can get down to where it is attached to the cables running to the brakes, and unbolt the entire thing. I've never done it though, so I could be wrong.

I didn't say to cut the whole e-brake handle off just that vinul cover to put another one on. I know for a fact that mine won't come off unless you saw it of and than the aftermarket one will attach with little allen screws like the ones in aftermarket shift *****.
