Default rotas? Quality?!?

nevermind, i've decided on 195/55/R15 (stocktire size) with flat black slipstreams

i have been thinking of getting some 15" rota slipstreams lately, but after looking into them, i found out that they aren't even D.O.T. Approved yet!?!
Does anyone on here ever had rotas or have experienced any problems with them? b/c i was really looking forward to getting them, here's some pics:

I'd recommend nothing from American Racing, Tenzo-R, Motegi, Flik, Rota, or companies that sell primarily on eBay or sites that are "discount wheel centers". If you're looking to keep this rims for a long time, get something that's from a better company. Enkei and Konig both are decent brand wheels. They're like in the middle range (the not recomment list being at the bottom end) at a good price. For top of the line rims include, just look around google. There's too many to name.

i agree, they are known in the autocross circuit. they are very lightweight wheels and they are known as a good brand.

how do you know that, have you personally had bad experiences with all of them, and for the for the ebay comment, you can actually find more deals on enkei's and konig's on ebay than rota's. i know that there are many top of the line rims online, and i've seen many of them, but how does that relate to rota's?

yeah, that's what i figured, they are made in the phillipines and i was just curious about the quality since they aren't DOT approved in the states, for the price, if one does mess up, all it will cost me is just like a hundred dollars for a new wheel and i can mount and balance them myself so i think i'm gonna order a set soon from jlbmotorsports if i can find a decent tire to mount to.

Now is that what you would recommend, or what toyomatt84 from Honda Tech would recommend?

so I'd recommend nothing from American Racing, Tenzo-R, Motegi, Flik, Rota, or companies that sell primarily on eBay or sites that are "discount wheel centers". You're asking for trouble when buying those fakes.
