My Nex Coilovers are to stiff
I have a 95 Civic with Nex coilovers.
I have the right ride height, but it feels too hard. Especially for the women, I mean woman in my life. I actually hit my head on the ceiling when going over a bump. That's crazy. I shouldn't have to wear a helmet when driving on the street.
My questions are:
1. Do I lower the spring adjustment (which lowers the car) and raise the car with the strut height adjustment?
2. What makes the suspension bouncey/hard? Struts or the springs or both?
3. Do I sell them and buy Teins (which Tein set up for street use).
Thanks!

The coilovers are what's giving you the rough ride. And your struts will not adjust the ride height of the car. For normal street use and a good increase in handling, I always say forget coilovers (well, I usually say that anyway). A nice set of H&R springs and some Tokico dampers are what I tend to stay with, but if you're looking for a "lady-friendly" ride, Tein S-Tech springs would probably be a better choice, since they're fairly soft as lowering springs go.

Man im with you on the coilovers. The dude i bought the car from had the coilovers lowered so there was no wheel gap on the stock tires and the ride was horrible. I raised the car back up to stock height and the ride improved a little bit, still feel every bump on the road and occasionally hit my head on the roof.

if you want the freedome of making your car higher or lower just get better coilovers, if not i would go for some tein s-tech springs, i have them and there amazing...about a 1.8 inch drop all around and it feels like a stock ride but the handling is improved like 100%, and there not that expensive eather

I just put my OEM spring/strut back on last night. This may sound funny, but I love it. I don't think I'll go back to coilovers. I may in the future go to eibachs, sprints or tein springs with tokico or kyb's, but why? To bridge the 2 1/2 inch wheel gap, which goes away when you load the car with 5 adults anyways.
Is the handling that much better with lowering springs or would strut bars and sway bars be a better investment?
