Lowering 2"-Camber Kit Needed?

RE: Lowering 2"-Camber Kit Needed?
^ yeah, I was going to mention that if you went low enough, zero camber could actually cause you to rub (for instance, I'm tucking tire on all four corners... that wouldn't happen with 0* camber)... but he said no more than 2", so I don't see that being much of a problem.

I wouldn't recommend going with 18's if you're lowering. It's not the offset that's going to hurt you so much as it is the fact that 7.5-8" wide wheels will rub pretty much no matter what on a 7th gen or older civic.

I didn't mean to give the wrong idea but I was not planning on "eye balling" it. I will have have it on an alignment rack and do it right.

well, a camber kit is not critical, but if you want your car to be a little safer as well as adjustable for the future (b/c of your coilovers) while a slight toe-in in the front will compensate for the dropped geometry, it will still produce a good bit of drag, therefore hurting your car, gas mileage, tires, as well as performance. so in my opinion, a $300 camber kit is a cheap investment, especially if you like to adjust it yourself and to make it easy on the alignment shop as well!
p.s. the washer trick should only be used with extended high strength bolts of the same size. just as a safety precaution to retain those extra threads on the bolt.

your camber isnt to important. the TOE is the worst!
no way to correct camber without a camber kit so you can get a million alignments unless you have a camber kit to properly adjust it then they cannt fix it.LOL your just wasting money!
camber only slightly wears the tires but it does evenly wear it....
but toe will destroy the inside of the tire down to the steel belts quickly!

and the thing about it is...you can only correct the negative camber with a slight toe in, so therefore it's still gonna wear your fronts out unless you set the camber with a kit back to factory settings so then you can ride zero toe with no worries.
