save for a set of tokico shocks with springs, you are talking $500 shipped and well worth it.

if this is a daily driver then a decent spring struts combo, with the drop you are looking for i'm thinking you may have rubbing problem with your 17" rims. i would just save till you have enough for the setup that you want, you will be much happier in the end

Not only that, but...

If you put the correct tire size on, you will have more sidewall and wider tread. That means more comfort and better grip.

But since you obviously don't like listening to good advice...

Anyway, what I was trying to say earlier is:
You have the wrong tires now, and you plan on lowering. You probably won't have rubbing issues with the small tires. But, when it comes time to replace those tires, if you are smart you will get the correct tire size, just as the shop who puts the tires on will tell you that you should do. After putting the correct tires on, you may then have rubbing issues from being lowered.

That being said, since you have the wrong tires, when you lower it you should keep the size of the correct tire (which you will hopefully get, eventually if not now) in mind.

depends on condition and what coilovers they are

if treated properly such as a true car enthusiast would (except for like heavy-duty track users), the coilovers could still be in great condition
