Hi guys i just bought a 99 lx civic.. When i had my HX long time ago i really liked the rims..

My question. is the stock HX rims lighter weigh that the stock rims on a LX civic? Will they bolt up?

hx's are very light weight not sure if they are lighter than your lx steelies but either way they are nice wheels. bolt up yes but not 100% sure if they will clear your calipers,

 

yes, hx rims are 11 lbs, stock steelies are 24lbs. they have the same 4x100 pattern so they bolt right up. They cleared the calipers good on my 2000 lx, but if you dont have oem calipers, you may need to shave several .mm off, which isnt too hard.

I think you will love hx's over steelies, you will be surprised at how much less sluggish your car is, and it wont break your back every time you rotate the tires.

 

when i was younger i had a 2000 HX.. when i had my son i had to sell my car.. but now i bought a LX trying to make it a HX.. About how much does HX rims go for?

 

that varies, i got mine for 250 used with good tires, but some people pay as much as 400. just luck really.

 

I really like the rims on the HX. They look great!

I found them for around $200 to around 300.. I dont need tires. Bec the car has new one on it.. I wanted to swap the tires to the HX rims.. IS there any aftermarket rims that are as light as HX rims that are around $50 wheel..

sorry man, i doubt you will find many if any aftermarket rims for 50 per wheel. unless you meant used per wheel. then, I'm not really sure, used wheel hunting is really luck more than anything.

If you look hard enough you could find wheels you are happy with for a couple hundred. I had to drive 2 hours both ways for the deal i found.

are those the mb 5x wheels? I almost went with the mb 7X before i found these, they look nice, but they are about the same weight as stock steelies.
