u guys r the man....thinking about adjustable....but then if the non-adjustable is better, i may stick with it....

is there any other alternatives to get rid of that bouncy effect when driving without spending on a brand dew suspension setup? can i just get some stiffer springs/shocks and solve that problem? i really hate that bouncy effect... i want the ride to be close to my 00 celica GTS

Sigracer10,

does your hatch bouce when driving on the not so flat roads? my bounces like a bietch...

first off the adjustable ones are gonna be better cuz you can adjust it to your own liking. so if you got the money, spend it

second what kind of bouncing is it? and what springs/shocks are on there now?

the bouncy effect.. let's say u are on an uneven or not so smooth road and the car starts to bounc up and down...as for me, the driver, i would be moving up and down the sit...feels like i'm gonna hit the inside top of the car....the bouncy effect is not race safe..... i drove my celica on the same road and can hardly feel anything...

not sure what springs/shocks r use on it now... can't get a hold of my bro....

well, the bounce is occuring because your struts are probably blown due to your brothers previous setup. if the struts are blown, that's why your car rides like it does, it's because the dampers can't "cushion" the bump, so the spring is doing all of the work. with new springs that are matched with new struts, your car should handle a lot better. btw, what type of comfort/performance are you going for.

ya +1 on the blown shocks cuz no my hatch does not do that, and nobody's car should for that matter

i'm looking for just a normal smooth ride.....yet with the car lower. i dont do autocrossing.. i do more drag racing.... ah.. so blown shocks.. time to get one then.....but crap....finding the right shocks for the springs i have on now will prove tough...crap.... might as well get a whole new suspension setup...

any kind of lowering springs is gonna be a little stiffer than stock, because they are shorter and have less susspension travel.

if i were you i would go get some Eibach pro line springs, with some good shocks and struts.you could get one of theshock/strutsets that I mentioned earlier, but ej6buddy could prolly make a better recomendation for those than I could. make sure you get camber kits when you do it too if you don't already have them.

with a slight drop, a camber kit isn't necessary. you can get either of those kits that you posted, they'll both work. those kits are matched for each other, meaning that the spring and damping rate are similar. and since you drag race, a slightly stiffer and lower ride will benefit your trap times. if you go too low, a camber kit is needed (at least in the front), but the washer trick usually works in the rear.
