96-98 wheel install torque ?
I still haven't found a manual around here, and haven't sprung for the PDF types either. Anyone off the top of their head, or in their manual for any civic 90-05 ish have any clue what the optimum FT LBS of torque are for securing your rims with lugs?
Seems like 30-35lbs is normal, but I don't want to under-do it, nor over-due it and not be able to get the dang things off. If anyone has a rough estimate I can roll on that.
I am awful needy lately aren't I, thanks for all your info!

30-35 lb is almost nothing your wheel would most likely pop off while driving down the road. i work at a discount tire here and like others have said, torque it to 80 which is factory spec and it does not matter what kind of wheel it is. 80 is about the lowest on any car..most are 100 trucks are usualy 100-150lb

It doesn't matter what type of wheel it is, you go by the vehicle specs. 80lbs

I rolled with 80, I did them by hand first, then when I came back and torqued them with the wrench, half of them were too loose, some are still probably too tight. I need to go over them all and get them all on 80 and go with it. They are tuner lugs, they really don't feel like they are as tight as they should be, but they are working this way.
Thanks for the info guys, I have to get a damn reference manual :-)

the tighter the better i peeled the oil pan bolt off my car once, it didnt quite come off on its track and i ended up ripping the thread right off the bytch nothigs made easy to install on a honda i think its a conspiracy honda has with the auto shops so you use auto shops more. changing the damb bulbs in a civics head lights is more work then it should be and taking off the fuel filter is next to impossible because of where the back bolt is placed i had to return the fuel filter!!
