20's on a 2006 lx
I just bought a 2006 honda civic lx about 2 weeks ago. Along with that I bought some 20" cabo's with 225/30/20 tire size. As I assumed I lost a little bit of the smooth ride that the new civic has. It rides fine until I get up to over 60 mph and then the wheel shakes like crazy. Although the car looks sweet as hell, i'm not sure if I wanna sacrafice the smooth ride. My question what can I do to make the ride more smoother. I know that those wheels and tires put a lot of weight on the supsension and I really don't want to damage my brand new car. And also is 30-40 air pressure sound about right for those tires. Any suggestions would help.

no.
anything that rotates at high speeds must be perfectly balanced or centrifigal force distortion kicks in and you get mad wobbling at high speeds.
think of a toy top spinning perfectly until it starts to slow down and it starts to wobble.
well, your wheels are wobbly because it can't spin at high speeds perfectly.
thus, the need for a counter weight to help balance out the wobbliness.
bah, just take it to the tire shop dammit... lol.

Lol, unbalanced refers to the little weights around the outside of the wheel, they have to be perfectly balanced or there will be vibration. Sounds to me like it also could be a bent wheel. Running a tire that small, theres really no way to avoid that. That can be fixed, but not really cheap.
