1997 Civic HX wears tires on inside edge.
I have a 1997 Honda Civic HX that is 100% stock. This car wears the tires on the inside edge (not the outer edge of the tire outside of the car). All four tires on the car have about the same tire wear on the inside edge of the tires due to I do keep up with my tire rotation and balancing. The tires on the car have 45,000 miles on them, so it is easy to see the tire wear.
What needs to be fixed to correct the problem when I put new tires on the car?
All Discount Tire tells me is the car is unevenly wearing the tires when I have the tires rotated and balanced. They never tell me what needs to be fixed. I do not thing they know because they do not specialize in repairing suspensions on cars.

If your cars suspension is completely stock, it probably a toe issue. If the toe for your alignment is off, it'll chew up tires. Before you get an alignment done, I'd suggest inspecting your cars suspension components(bushings, ball joints, shocks, etc) for any wear and tear. If something is wrong, fix it then get an alignment. If nothing's wrong, get an alignment.
