16x7.5 40mm o/s . 205/50's or 215/50's ?
Bought my first honda! 05 DX SDN spottless, stock and ready to be dressed up a little bit. im sold on 16x7.5rims but dont want to drop the car. i just want to fill those w/wells as full as i can without any rubbing . im going with the 50 sidewall to keep speedo/odo accurate. im looking at tires . again the o/s is 40mm so i think the GENERAL ALTIMAX HP grand touring all seasion [utqg 440AA]@ 86bucks or the KUMHO ECSTA ASX ultra hi pros all seasions [utqg 420 AAA]@ 70 bucks. my driving style is yet to be discovered. [very cool N.E. Pa. roads but tough winters]so i'll keep the steelies on in the slush and run the new shoes in spring & summer. im looking for lots of mileage. SO what to do ? 205/50-16 or 215/50-16 . P.S. i dont want to roll anything i just want this 05 ETERNAL BLUE DX SDN. to look sharp ! thanks , UNCLERAY...............

lol, dude, adding wider wheels to a car that isn't dropped usually makes it look even higher off the ground[:'(]. Which is why I always say this... SUSPENSION FIRST! Why don't you want to lower it?

i live in N.E. Pa. i have a very steep driveway , the car would drag at the top. we get SNOW ! and lots of it. would not be practical. i'm probably 25 yrs. older than most of the people posting judging by their communications. i bought the DX as an answer to 3.00+ fuel prices. my hummer costs 80 bucks to fill. my 65 mopar 426 wedgehemi is for sunday cruises but still sucks alot of fuel. i know you can really trick the honda but all i'm concerned about is a spotless DX w/ nice rims [i choose the KONIG THEORY'S in silver 16x7s 38mm o/s] my problem was tires .i like the look of wide tires, and after speaking ot the tech's at tirerack, wheelsnext and jlb motorsport and 1010 tires the best i can do are 205/50-16 so im thinking [GENERAL ALTIMAX HP grand touring all season 440AAA w/55,000 mi. warranty @ 83 bucks at tirerack [they cost 166and change at 1010 tires and rated 2nd in their catagory] or the KUMHO ECSTA ASX 420AAA ultra hi pro all season w/30,000mi. warranty] but im leaning towards the GENERALS. i think their a good match. buti'm sort of disapointed i can't run 215's but the popular thought is they will rub unless i do more work . SO i guess 205's it is.thanks for your reply! uncleray
