i plan to get konig helium bronze rims, but im still not sure whether to go with 16's or 17's, since i have a eg 4dr i was thinking small rims would look a little odd, but i want better ride quality. what do u guys think??? maybe 16's with an inch drop

RE: 16's or 17's
I just put my 16's on, they are 16x7. The driveability increase was immediately noticed the first time I drove it, It holds the road much better then it used to. I have had it up around 100 on backroads without any issues, when you turn the wheel, they go, period!
Ride quality for me is a little rougher then the stock, but my tires are about half the size that they were. Going wtih these 16's, i could have easily gone up a tad in tire diameter, but I picked the 40's because they were suggested by the company I purchased from.
My plans are to drop the car 1.5" in the rear and 2" in the front, as soon as I am able to find a set of Ksports or other similar set-up for a decent price. My car can be seen in the link below my sig, It does feel a little odd being so high, but I think a 1.5 / 2" drop would easily clear that up, and a lip/body kit later in life will make it even lower to the ground, in physical appearance. If I had gone with 17's I still feel I would have been ok, but I would worry about rubbing if I wanted to drop alot later, and in my area roads are rough.
If I could do it all over again, I would have gone with a 16x7 with a little wider tire, then drop it 1" and I doubt it would ever rub, but would improve the look.
Thats my take on it anyway.

RE: 16's or 17's
quote: ive had 16's and 17's and im going back to 16's with 205 40 R16 tires. The 17s feel they slow my car down too much especially if you dont have many mods.
isn't it when the overall diameter gets bigger and that's the time the car slows down? but if you offset it with a bigger rim but lower profile, as long as it is close to OEM diameter then it should be fine.
