Selling my car...
I figure I'd post this in OT because it's not related to Honda in any way. As the title states, I'm selling my car. Here's all the info:
1993 BMW 525i
2.5L I6, 192HP (as stated in the manual)
5-speed
252,000 miles
The good:
-Idles smooth doesn't burn much oil
-Gets 24MPG sombined highway/street driving
-Doesn't leak any fluids
-New clutch as of July (also changed the oil in transmission and differential)
-Exhaust system replaced in october (converters, resonator, and muffler)
-Updated waterpump (metal impeller)
-lowering springs + billstein shocks (lifetime warranty on shocks)
-Alpine 9847 head unit
-Ellipsoid headlights
-fairly new flex disc
-rear wheel bearings were replaced 1 year ago as well as one of the CV joints
-rare BBS wheels
The bad:
-"clunk" sounds when going over bumps. This could be attributed to failing control arms or bad sway bar links.
-rust developing around one of the rear wheel wells and on one of the rocker panels (surface rust)
-shimmy at 50-60mph. This could be a problem with upper control arms
-fuel gauge doesn't work
Asking $2000, but it's very negotiable
It's hard for me to sell this car, because I really love it. However, as you could see in "the bad" section, I really don't have time to tinker with it. This car is mechanically sound, aside from some suspension issues and would make a perfect daily driver. For a side note - I change the oil every 5,000 miles with Mobil Fully Synthetic oil 10w30. This car has a clean title and I will provide a VIN number upon request. Here's a pic, but I can provide up to date pics of any angle if you're interested:
