Selling 1993 dx hatchback
I am selling a 93 Honda civic Hatchback DX(3dr).
The car looks great, but need WORK done. Im trying to sell it to some one who want to hook it up/ fix it make it look nice or what ever.. Pretty much for a project car.
I would keep it but i dont have the budget or time.
**Selling it for $1,000 or best offer. throw prices at me! (reasonable)**
these are just some of the things the car needs:
All new suspension (shocks, springs, etc)
Brakes
Calipers
Rotors
motor mounts
Pretty much a new ENGINE, it is currently running on 3 cylinders not 4..lol
it is leaking fluids.
Windows are off track.
p.m me for more info

you may want to include that the engine isn't the original engine
that looks like a d16y8, and if it's fixable, might help you sell the car
Also, you might consider vacuuming it, cleaning the windows, and dash; and then degreasing the engine bay. Might make it more appealing, even though it's just a project type car, and doing that won't cost you much money.

sounds good...and yes you are right
thanx alot for the info..is very useful..
by the way yes, **the engine is a 96 -00 civic engine** its a 1.6L
..not a 91-95 engine...
well it is fixable but i dont know exactly what needs to be done...it needs ALOT ALOT of work, perfect for some one who wants a project car.

it could be something as simple as spark plugs or spark plug wires
i would try replacing the spark plugs and seeing what happens (will only cost like 8 bucks total). if that doesn't work, then i'd just give up and not spend any more money. i'd say it's worth the $8 to try and see if it makes the cylinder work... it'll make it a lot easier to sell if you get it working.
But yea, that engine is a D16Y8. It has VTEC, so you might want to mention that, because that engine is a lot better than the stock one (if you can get it to run right)
