Yeah, I use RP and K&N as well.. Oil filters are filters, they really don't make too much difference. Some are just better for say.. Being able to change your oil every 10,000 miles or so(Just an example) some filters require changing earlier, some are made to last longer..

 

Only reason I talk so much about Mobil1, is that its the most efficient and long lasting oil I've run in my car yet. Right now I'm almost at 4,000 miles, and the **** still looks brand new.

That, and turbo'd boxer motors have a tendency to shear oil down, so I can't run a normal 5w30 in the summer. Bumping it up to a 5w40 only allows it to shear down to a 30 (probably not even that far), and just keeps the motor running strong.

(oh yeah and Mobil1 is higher on the list than RP, nah ner nah ner lol)

i just dont like how that test is at least 5years old! they are always coming out with new oil combinations to improve the life. hell look at those oils that say they can last what like.... 5K miles or 10K miles. i cannt even remember exactly they had 3 different types of longer than 3K miles oil change periods.

i just want new data on new oil!

 

As i mentioned in the other thread, the list will not have changed enough to make a significant difference

i just bought some RP 10mins ago finaly gonna change the oil in the 96 i bought.
