Ok, lets see, A stock SRT4 runs at something around 14psi stock, so 4 more lbs of boost isn't all that much. They see around 215whp @ 2,900 lbs. The Hyundai in its stock form puts out 175hp @ around 3,000lbs. Slap a S/C on that car, and I won't pretend to guess how much horsepower it is running. Yea that SRT-4 sucks, can't even beat a S/C V6 that weighs 100lbs more

I know it seems like I completely hate imports, I really don't. It's just blatent ignorant, "its domestic so it must be a slow POS" statements like that that give you guys bad names. I don't remember the post from a time ago that several of the higher thought of members of the forums admitted that the SRT4 is a powerful platform.

Awaits "domestic lover" remarks...

4psi can mean a fairly significant difference. Heres some numbers I found dinking around on the net..

Dodge SRT-4 Dyno'ed today...

@16psi we put down 233hp
@18psi we put down 298hp

so, 2extra psi got him almost 70hp. Are you still saying that 4psi "isn't that much?"

I forget sometimes sarcastic humor doesnt carry over the forum. It seems wierd considering the Neon R/T has the DOHC motor and it puts out 160hp, but they need 14psi of boost to get it to 230, but 4lbs of boost will get it to 300. One day I'd like to really learn about the tech. info about how turbos really work

Man the SRT4 bashing in this thread is so far off base it aint funny.

Fact - A SRT4 comes in at around 2900lbs
Fact - Stock 04 and 05 SRT4's dyno around 230 to 240 to the wheels
Fact - a Tibby is rated at 175 hp at the crank or around 140 or so whp
Fact - That Tibby is far from stock and how do I know this because the Tibby has a de-tuned Mitsu 3rd Gen Eclipse GT 3.0 and they need to be built anywhere north of 250 to 275whp

Please for the sake of god do not say that you know these guys or that this vid is anywhere new. I surfed the srtforums for a good while because I was researching the SRT-4's as I planned to buy one. Well this vid was on there last spring, it has also been on another Honda forum I am on sense last summer.

It is a absolute joke to me as to how in the hell anyone can call themself a true enthusiest and mock anything about the SRT-4. The damn thing new was $20g's, brakes harder than a RSX, pulls harder than a WRX, corners better any car in in it's pricerange or market segment and last but not least has a engine in it that will in stock trim hold stupid amounts of power.

Stupid fanboys kill me, put a TSX body on that chassis and all of you so called "enthusiest" would be riding it's nuts so hard that blue ***** would be a way of life.

BTW tell me this if you could. Name one car in it's price range that is fwd that will touch it. Now I am talking about a 03 through 05 car for $21,000 with bolt ons vs a a SRT4 with bolt-ons with 4 wheel vented and cross drilled rotors, 4 piston calipers, a no nonesense interior, and the ability to rip low 13's and still get 30mpg and keeping a factory warrenty. This car will kill a STi and the all mighty evo from 50mph to 150mph stock vs stock.
