My first solo helicopter flight!
Well today was not only my birthday, but also my first hour of solo helicopter flight. 56 hours of flying with my instructor and $30,000 later, I get to go up alone. It was unreal and when I landed my clothes were soaked right through with sweat...haha
Instructor giving me a final prep...
Checking the little 160hp engine before take off...
Posing for a pic that I didnt want taken, at this point I was about to puke from stress..
And take off, not as hard as landing.

edit...one of my old roommates is into rc choppers. we had a blast on the 4th of july. he put some lightweight wood platform between the skids and rubber banded various fireworks to it. then we'd light them off and shoot them at several different gas soaked items from around one of our neighbors backyards.

i took some photos while there..wasn't the camera man. none of them were with a tripod, so they aren't as crisp as i had hoped...still came out alright though.
