hmmm...thats really interesting cuz the road and track drivers foun the 430 faster in a straight line and round a track(can't remember which one, when i find that issue ill post). They also said that the 430 was much easier to drive fast due to more feedback at the limits of handling. Btw, Jake, did you get everything worked out with the ebay dumbass selling your car?

 

umm no, a ferrari is an unreliable car that needs "Major sevice" at 3000 miles, and if you don't use the ferrari oil for oil changes at 62 dollars perquart your engine doesn't get warrentied if it blows up. and there clutches are ****, thats why he didn't beat the heck out of his car, he knows what it costs to fix them. a z06 is a great car and very ****ing reliable compared to an exotic car. an overbuilt v8 will outlast a finely tuned run to its limit v12 any day. and you can't even shake a stick at the price differance because a a corvette just whooped a ferrari ***. i would take the faster car hands down regardless of money or not.

And how many F430's have you been in? I'll tell ya I have not been in a F430 but I have been in a couple $2/300,000 benze's......one being a SLR and the new vette has every bit the interior quality as those cars. All leather, HUD, informative gauge lay out, firm short shifts from the shifter, a Bose surround sound stereo, supportave seats. So please tell me how the F430's interior is $140,000 nicer? Also the performance speaks for itself, the Z06 is a car you can take to the track, beat the hell out of it, then take a chick out to dinner in on friday night. The F430 on the other hand is going to run into clearence issues on bumps in the road, require expensive up keep, and guess what......it is still going to get beat by a car 1/3 the price. God forbid you actually mod the Z06, I have seen vids of exhaust, intake, and tune Z06's making north of 520whp. Runs the 1/4 mile in the low 11 second range with nothing added but a pair of slicks.

160-200 took forever. But yea, I want a z06 so bad, best bang for your buck.

 

^^Regarding the ring times, different results from different drivers play in huge part in that. Plus, they obviously ran at different times, so track conditions could have played a big part in that as well. The Porsche Carerra GT's first recorded time around the ring was 7:40. Ran antoher day with a 7:28. With that said I would still give the edge to the Z06 with equal drivers and equal track conditions.

I have to disagree w Marty on the chicks part. If you can pick up hot chicks in your Z06 you'll pick up super models in your Ferrari. When is the last time girls care about faster cars? Its which one is nicer, more expensive and more exclusive.

 

I'd take the ferrari over a vette anyday. Resale on one would be so much more than a corvette, and would hold its value for a longer period as well.

 

i would say that i would take the corvette. it's a pretty sweet car. even though it's just now catching up with the viper
