I bet he sanded them down pretty good.... without sanding I cant imagine the paint would even dry very smooth... looks really nice!

Yea I started about 9 in the morning and finished at about 8 at night after giving it a quick wash. That includes an hour long run to autozone and a lunchbreak for some philly cheesesteaks haha.

Those headlights are crap, I cant get them clear enough and the driver one is cracked. I basically did this set as practice and plan on buying a new set soon and willpaint those ones also.

Heres the process I used for the wheels:
1.Remove wheels form vehicle of course
2.Wipe down with Paint Clean Up (basically weak paint thinner)
3. Wet Sanded with 400 grit (I only sanded down enough to help hide the curb damage , Most of the stock finish was left on)
4. Wipe down with soapy water
5. Rinse and let dry
6. Wiped down with a dry microfiber cloth to get any last dust/particles off
7. Taped off tires with duct tape
8. 2 coats of Duplicolor Engine Enamel Primer
9. 5-6 Coats of Duplicolor Engine Enamel Universal Gold
10. 1-2 coats of Duplicolor Clear Effects
11. 5-6 Coats of Duplicolor High Performance Wheel Coating (clear)
12. Let cure for about 2 hours in the sun
13. Lay on a Good coat of wax (It will take a lot as the new paint sucks wax up real quick)

The engine enamel dries really fast. I waited about 10 minutes in between each of the primer and color coats. Then I waited about 45 minutes before putting on the clear. Its Tough as nails to!

I had some damage to my rear bumper and quarter panel form my mom hitting my car. I had a bunch of paint cracked on the bumper and a big bare spot on the rear quarter panel wiht a nice dent. I popped it out and touched it up. Looks crappy up close but a hell of a lot better then pink plastic and rusty metal.

I still have the center caps but I cant find a gold plastic paint to match them and Im not a fan of the gold and red combo.
