your right, its an amd chipset, oh well, i was thinking amd cause of the 64 bit tech, but now that core 2 is out i should go back to intel. the 8800 is the only GPU that fully supports direct x 10 wich is very nice. but ya high price. i could buy a set of rods and pistons for that much...

ya true but i want the speed of a 10k rpm HD. maybe ill get 2 150's. But there like 350 bucks each. Maybe I can buy a 7200 rpm and use the 150 gig 10k for games.
$350 for a 150GB???? where the hell are you buying Hard Drives?!?!?!
320GB Maxtor $149

I have Core 2 Duo 6400 in my PC. This rig screams! The CPUs are clocked at 2.06GHz stock, but they are ridiculously easy to overclock. I currently have it running at 2.5GHz on stock cooling system and it idles at 32 degrees. Good choice on the video card too. However, I would hold off on that until the prices drop. $500 for a GPU is ridiculous imo. I run 7900GT and I can play just about everything on maxed settings, except for Oblivion. ASUS is the only way to go right now IMO as far as mobos go. I have P5N32 that's optimized for nVidia GPUs - meaning that it supports true SLI. BTW, you have the same case as me! I love this thing, but it weighs like 30lbs.

PS. my specs are Intel Core 2 Duo 6400
2gb Patriot ram
GeForce 7900GT
Seagate 80GB HDD

I run HL2 and CS: Source at a 170-220FPS. Not sure about the exact figures for BF2, but it runs smooth as silk. Settings are maxed .

Every computer i have ever had has had an ASUS mobo, and i have NEVER had an issue they are quality products at a quality price, nd will be sticking with them for years to come[sm=smiley20.gif]

i only run HL2 at about 20-30fps[&o]... i may hit 40 if i stare at a wall

big + slow = poor performance

that maxtor is a 7200rpm drive v a 10k drive will toast it

i've got a mbp with core duo and even that little bugger is fast...

i'm no longer a member of the pc toting and windows using nation except for the poor piece of crap i've got from work (boo to Dell Latitude)
