Here's a comparison for any doubters. If anyone is familiar with the Team Gardella (I think is the name) Civic, it was claimed to have made 900whp out of a bored GSR (2.0l) on methanol.

There are a few 1000whp Honda's out there, obviously they're drag only but they're there.
Not saying I don't believe you. But I've never seen them that high. Link imo.
