What's up guy's i'v been hooking up myCivic for some time now, i'v spent about5 grand on it all body mods audio and video stuff. It's about time i turbo my car or do something because it must be the slowest car on wheels [i have a 01 Civic LX 4D] from what i readabout my carit seems like nothing i can do to my car will make me see some serious gainsin HP. Anyway back to the subjuct i live in New York (The Bronx) and i was wondering if anyone knew a spot that i could go to get my car turboed. I know a few little spots but i don't trust them with my car i want a place that does top notch work.

Other Questions:

1: I was thinking about getting the Zex Wet Shot System the 55-75hp (is it worth it?)
2: What am i look to have to spend, i have 4 grand savedright nowand i was thinking it would be about 6-8 when everything is all said and done.
3: Since my car is auto i was thinking about doing an engine and tran swop since they will be doing so much work on it already. Also since my car is a none vtec.

Sincethe d17 engine is pretty weak andwont hold a lot of boost and you already have $5k in it,I reallywouldnt want to blowthemotor up. Youhave enough money togo for a k24 or k20 swap which will more than likely come witha 6 speed tranny.And then maybe even addboost from there if you have enough cash left over.

 

I wouldn't boost a d17, I don't know about the d17 but my d16 can't take more than a 55 shot of nitrous stock. I would swap the engine if I were u.

 

Thanks for the advice guys i really appicate it, i'l stay away from the nos then i really would like to do a K20 Swap but i dont know anyone who can do it. Actually let me say that i trust doing it, and will do a good job. If you Guy know a reputable place i can go to get it done please let me know.

 

The k series swap is the holy grail of the 7th gen... I have only seen one in real life... it was a black 7th gen SEDAN! Sooooo fast! And it was not even boosted.... I will get my k20 someday, boost it, and then find that kid!
