alright... that's some good info. that link that you have posted...
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me..._Code=ATP-OIL2

I might just buy that alumnium bung and have that welded. I could weld it in but I'd have to drive 30mins just to get to the welder, plus it's a mig so the weld wouldn't be as clean. Instead I'm going to take it to school and have one of my friends in the hy-po welding class tig it for me.

Thanks a lot for the info!
before you buy an aluminum bung. is the pan aluminum or steel? b/c you cant weld steel to aluminumso your better off getting the steel bung and welding it to the Steel pan.

haha.... It's a y8 pan, and it's aluminum. I work in a welding shop. They have a partner that's like 30minsfrom their shop that has an aluminum mig welder using 100% argon. I know you normally don't use a mig to weldaluminum... but I'm guessing they didn't want to spend the money.Thank youfor your concern. Thanks for the info earlier too!

Drill a hole and find a nut that will thread onto the return line fitting. Then weld it on. Heres what I did.

I ended up buying an alumnium bung. 1/2" pipe thread. I'm gonna end up taking it to the high-performance welding instructor and have him tig it on for me. Since I don't know how to tig yet!

yeah it seals better actually gets in the lil crevices. i had mine tig'd on b4 and it leak'd. so i brazed it and it hasnt leak'd yet nor giving me any problems. but its my opinion. u dnt have 2 do it. just thought id give ya an option.

Alright... yeah I can see if you don't get good penetration why it would leak. One of the biggest things about welding is penetration. Tig is a lot better if you do it right. With braising it just fills the gaps,it doesn'tneccessarily penetrate.
