Default T3/4 vs T56

I' wanting to build a B18A for around 400-450 fwhp. To do this I'm going to use nitrous and a turbo. The nitrous I already have the setup for. It's NX EFI system for the B seriers Honda. A direct port wet shot that I'm going to do around 50-75. I can set this up to only come on at WOT for RPM ranges from 0-around4500. Then the second stage will be an intercooler sprayer from 4500 RPMs till she blows. What I need to know is at what RPM range do the T3/4 turbo and the T56 turbos kick in pretty good? Also someone told me a T3/4 turbo wouldn't hold up if I'm spraying it? I want it to be fast yet reliable. What kind of pis I'm I going to have to use for each of those to get to the 400 hp mark? I want something that's going to be killer on the strip and still be deadly on the street, so I need a turbo that will still spool at about 4500-5000RPMs andbe at max around the 8500-9000 mark. But like I said It still needs to be able to hold the cold shot of nitrous.Any suggestions?

Try a Garrett 60-1, Precision SC61, or Garrett GT30R all with a .63AR, all of them will easily support 450whp on all turbo and spool around the 4500-5K range without much of a problem.

I'm more interested in what you plan to put into the engine, fuel setup, and tuning though. The turbo part is easy lol.

Most likly I'll stick w/ a Turbonetics turbo. Thanks for the info on that though. Will they still hold up under the use of nitrous though? As far ar the internals go so far I have my heart set on Eagle rods and crank, JE pistons, Comp Cams cams, valve springs, and retainers, Ferria valves, Edlebrock intake and throttle body, Moroso oil pan and valve cover, and a few other odds and ends. I'm sure theres more I just cant remmeber what all I've written down downstairs!

Yeah they should be just fine with nitrous.

If you want come back with a full list to look over. I'm going through a 400whp Dseries build so I'm going through a lot of what you are trying to do now.

I know this is the wrong forum for it but what kind of compression are you thinking of running in your D series SovXietday? Tell me more of what your doing and I'll try to tell you some of my past experiances on previous builds.

It's not really good to be spraying at low rpm's like that, maybe you might want to start spraying at like 2,500-3k rpm.

It depends on what setup you use. I've had great success with a MSD system combined with an Edelbrock system. The MSD allows me to control what rpm it comes in at during WOT and the Edelbrock system allows me to regulate how much nitrous is being introduced to the engine at one time. It's mainly desingned to help w/ traction but it works great for keep the engine from popping too.
