Spray?

Spray?
I have a 97 Civic EX. I want to buy NOS for it and does anyone know how much it would cost, and generaly how much it would cost for it to be installed. Also if I need any engine work done before hand so nothing gets dammaged because my car has about 148,980 miles on it so I think it might break something if I put NOS in it.

RE: Spray?
What needs upgraded exactly, I don't know too much about engines. BTW I realy don't plan on using it a lot. I just want the tank to accent the speakers that I'm putting in the trunk and to say that I have it.
Oh yea, I saw that I'm sopost to be using 91+ octane gas after I get it, is that just when I'm going to use it or do I need to always be using 91+ gas.

imo if you use a small shot every now and then you might get away w/ stock internals for a little while... but build up the engine before you start spraying, put the bottle in just dont hook it up all the way? i know that may seem kind of ricerish (ok alot) but i think it would be your best bet. btw, get a new clutch b/c your will go pretty quick.

RE: Spray?
I have a tank in my trunk that's not getting filled till after I hit the dyno, it's been there since March and prolly won't get used till Sept. I refuse to use it till I have dynoed and corrected my A/F to be able to use it.

RE: Spray?
I got a few more questions. lol
You guys keep saying upgrade my internals, what do I need to do to it?
Why would NOS hurt my clutch?
And my car looks riceish enough...I don't want to just put a NOS bottle in it and say I have spray. And I want it to be simi-fast, I'm thinking about a CAI but I think rain might be a problem for me.

RE: Spray?
You need pistons, piston rings, connecting rods.
N2O hurts your clutch because it is adding so much hp and tq all at once that is torturer on your clutch.
If you don't upgrade the engine you will destroy it in a short period of time. I agree your car looks riceish, jk jk, but it would be in your interest to upgrade and even possibly hit the dyno before you use the bottle. Some kind of fuel management wouldn't be a bad idea either. Especially if you plan on spray larger shots.

RE: Spray?
How much do you think that all would cost, not counting the NOS itself. I'm not too worried about the clutch though. I think the Nitrus Oxide System is about $500-$800 and I will have to find out if I can find someone who can install this stuff and knows what they are doing, I think I know who can do it.

RE: Spray?
I think if I ever use the nos it would be just to like speed up to interstate speeds [Flames will come out of my exaust right? lol] on the on ramp or on like a drag strip if I can find one close to me because there used to be one within like about 1/2 mile from my house but it closed when I was little and I don't think they have done anything with the land since.

RE: Spray?
Pistons and rings - ~$400-600
Connecting Rods - ~$700
S/V SAFC2 - ~$300-370
Clutch - ~$300-350
Those are estimates, you may be able to find lower prices.
I don't know about installing a "wet" kit but my dry kits was rather simple to install.
