6-8 psi on a stock engine before the bottom end is going do some things that you just dont want to happen.

does that one have a way to set up separate fuel maps, and all you have to do is change the fuel and switch it over? im sure i heard about one of those, i just cant remember who made it.

I've always used this rule of thumb for stock internals. You can add (forced induction, not bolt-ons) around half the power that the engine makes. So if you're making 110 hp bone stock, your engine should be able to handle an additional 55 hp with no serious problems, whether that be from turbocharging, supercharging or nitrous.

Of course there are exceptions to every rule of thumb. For example, a boosted 5 or 6G D series can handle about 75 boost hp... and you can get that with about 8 psi, so just stay around there on stock internals.

True, 6-8psi on stock internals should be no problem. Mine was very conservative.

I'm just wondering would it be ok to boost a d16z6 or just get a new motor like a b16a? What would be better? I already have the d16 but I am wanting to know if it would be better to build the internals and head and boost it or just get a b16a and run it stock internals with turbo and what would be the max psi I can put on both?

Better to build the internals while you have the engine out of the car. It can never hurt to have extra strengh for any future mods.
