Default rebuild for 14psi

well i'm rebuilding .... i'm thinking eagle rods, arp bolts and head studs... cometic head gasket and CP or SRP forged pistons.... has anyone heard anything good or bad about Ross pistons.... i'm trying to decide what to run with and would like some input....

this is what a torn wastegate line will do to your stock pistons

I'd recommend OEM gasket from the dealer and the eagle/vitara deal on ebay. Can't lose with honda parts and that setup shouldwithstand pressureup until you crack a sleeve, with a good tune. Plus the guy who sells them uses arp rod bolts, king bearings, and npr rings.

Nothin wrong with Ross pistons, but CP has tons of positive rep from ppl who are runnin em. Dont worry so much about how much PSI your runnin, worry about horse power. Your parts list looks pretty good if your aimin at mid 300hp levels. Anything over that your gunna wanna add sleeves to the list, that is if you want the engine to last a while.

Id add Type R oil and water pumps to you parts list too. Have you though about a main girdle? You dont need one, but itll only make the bottom end stronger.

Personaly, Id go with 9.0:1 set. Itll give you a lil more power out of boost, which will make stop and go driving a lil more tolerable. Itll also make it a bit easier to get to your power goal. One more thing to consider is that with more compression the engine will take in more air, which will exhale more air, which will spool a turbo faster.

Sorry if I missed it but what motor is this and what chassis is it in? Btw a "type R" oil and water pump is the same part as a B16, GSR and I think even an LS oil and water pump.
