And I might do black, or I might do something like Jake (whatever happened to him?) has on his d16 and do like a deep graphite. I'm still not sure what color I'm painting the 15's. I think I'm just going to wait until I have the car and take a few high-res pics and do some chopping to help decide.
And I'm definitely going to put the windshield in myself if getting the old glass out is the hardest part.... that alone will probably save me $2-300. I'm sure I could pick up a junkyard fender for $30 or so.
also, just to add... this turbo build may very well be longer than flip's (no offense ben)... I need to find out what insurance is going to look like with the civic. I got an online quote from progressive saying something like $400/6mo, but who knows how close to that my actual rate would be.
UPDATE: I just got an email from mark (the owner); the insurance company has to come out to see the car again on monday, but after they do I can buy it. Chances are I'll end up having the title notarized and tow it next Saturday (not tomorrow but the week after).

well I'm thinking it'll actually be less... I was paying something like $1200/yr for the civic on liability, but I'm paying $1100/yr for a mustang, so I'd think another civic would be cheaper than the mustang.
And yeah, I figured the $1800 offer was bs, but I'd really rather not miss out on the opportunity to buy a b18 civic for $1500.
Anyway, I finally have high-res pics I had on my phone... enjoy:
and I've checked around, there's a windshield around 45 minutes away at a junkyard for $60. And there's quite a few fenders around here in junkyards; I'd say I'm going to end up spending around $50 on one, and the headlights I'm looking at are around $120, so that's $230 to fix everything myself... and I can live with that
*edit: I've been getting insurance quotes; Geico looks the lowest so far at $514/6mo for liability with no deductible (what's the point of having a deductible if they're going to total it no matter what?)
