Default peicing together a turbo kit

everyone says peicing your own kit together is much cheaper than buy a whole kit, but where do you go to find these deals? what are some good sites? or do you buy from local stores?
thanks for any help

just make sure that everything is a QUALITY part. if you see a gt3076r 57 trim for 300 bucks BRAND NEW by some 'ebay store' it's a piece.

get anything that you get from either reputable names or used parts from actual people. ebay is a hard place to find quality things b/c there are so many people that are selling spoofs and other ppl that are trying to just rip you off. another good place to look is turbochargers.com - they have a good line of DSM turbo's (EVO III Big 16g is a GREAT turbo for not much (i think like 575 or something) spools between 3400 and 3700 and is tunable up to about 380. 420-430 on meth.)

i'm assuming that you are experienced enough to know everything that you need for a reliable, safe kit right?

hardest part is the piping... you will need to find these or have a shop custom bend some for you. Piecing together a set is a good idea if you know what you are doing and can do it yourself letting you same money on the full kit and install. If you are having it installed at a shop then just spend the money on a full turbo kit and get it done right.

actually the ebay kits are pretty good piping kits, StreetSniper ordered one and it fit up to his turbo perfectly. you also can make your own kit from bends you can order online, thats what i did and i spent i think 70 bucks on the whole piping kit.
