Okay. Why should I not waste time buying from procivic?

I am seriously considering buying the overpriced procivic kit. I can't find anybody else that has a complete kit. And like has been previously mentioned. the car is so new that there just isn't much turbo support yet. So piecing a kit together would be very difficult. Especially when I know almost nothing about actually putting one together. But I do feel comfortable installing it.

I've been reading an edelbrock turbo install instruction manual. It seems super easy so far. So I think this would be a good way to learn, is to just buy the over priced kit. I just wanna get my hands dirty and learn something.

Does anybody have any information about the Procivic TSI kit? Here is a video of one installed. Anyone know how tuneable the AEM FIC thing is?

yeah you won't really be able to piece toether the kit with a new Civic like oyurs, on the 6th gens, 5th gens, etc you can find a lot of interchangable pieces, but with your new engine they probably won't fit. I've ordered from procivic.com and actually couldn't be happier with them, idk if somebody else has had a bad experience, but mine was fine. Hey though if you got the money go for that kit, the AEM FIC is a piggyback, which isn't good, but if profressionally tuned it adjusts both fuel and timing, which is what you really want, so it'll be better than nothing.

Thanks FLIP. Is there anything better than a piggy back for the 2008 that you know of? I can't seem to find much on the web. Do you think there will be one soon? Also, how do you tune a piggy back? what is the interface? how do you control it? Thanks.

Default My Turbo

Okay. I think I've decided to by the procivic turbo kit. I talked to a guy at A-Spec Racing. It's a place close to chicago. He was really cool. He said they would probably only charge 295 for a good tune. Maybe less he said, since it already comes with a good base map. So I'm looking at this kit.

I have stock everything else on my car right now. Would I need to get an intake or exhaust manifold in addition to what is shown here?

I believe I would want to get a new exhaust sytem too. What should I get? Should I put it all on at the same time? Could I get the exhaust now and then put the turbo on easily? Or is better to just put it all on at the same time? Thanks.

Oh also, on this youtube video of the turbo installed. What is the the metal thing sticking off what looks to be the spot where the intake meets up with the intercooler piping? It's on the top of the engine bay, just to the right of the engine. It's not shown in the picture of the kit. So what is it?

turbo timer keeps the engine running after you turn the key to off for like 45 seconds or whatever you set it to. this is to allow the turbo to cool down and so you don't have to sit in the car for 45 seconds every time you go somewhere.
