Default i need help w/ turbo system

hi im new to the forums, but basicly i bought and installed the edelbrock #1500 turbo kit in my 97' civic 2door ex. anyways when i turn the car on it starts off normally then ten seconds later the idle is bouncing like a madman going from 1k-3k-1k-3k-1k and so on, sounds like i have a vaccum leak or sumthing dunno if that hissing in the bay is it or not. and if so maybe you have some good places 2 check around the intake manifold. note that also that the kit needs a voltage clamp bought from edelbrock or a missing link installed which i havent installed yet. maybe that might be the problem? if the map sensor is detecting boost with that make it idle like the way it is?

Did you install the piggyback unit that comes with the kit?

usualy a vacuum leak the car will idle high and stay there. if your car has a fast idle under the throttle body try cleaning it out.

+1 on did you plug in the piggy back box that came with the kit?

Getthe voltage clamp or missing link first since most likely that is going to be your problem.

....I have the same kit and i would just go with the missing link since their cheaper than the edelbrock voltage clamp.

the turbo link (edelbrock's piggyback) is a very realiable fuel managementthat comes witha good tune (Only if your are running the correct piggyback for the correct engine).

rcalimquim- jutt in case you didn't know, theturbo linkalready comestune for 10-11psi. All you needis areliable boost controller to up the boost

yea everythings hooked up piggyback and all except the voltage clamp. i hooked up a ob2 scanner code it gave is p0117 - enginge coolant temp circuit low. that mean i got low coolant? the car is still idling the same and we sealed the gasket and screws and tubes. seems like there is a hissing still from the bay dunno if its still a vacuum leak.

I know that if you don't have a voltage clamp or missing link on the 96-98 civics is going to give you an ecu code (i don't which one) and make your car instally go into limp mode.
