Default how much nitrous can my engine take

i have been looking at many different nitrous kits and i am unsure what to pick.zex,venom,and edlebrock have my attention

i want big hp gains but i still want to keep it as safe as possible

i have a d16y8 built up. bored 30 over,w/ skat h beam rods,je pistons,10:5:1 compression,port and polished heads,arp fastners,calico bearings,crower camshaft,crower valve springs and retainers,aem camgear,stock crankshaft,all balanced and blueprinted.

my fuel system has all been modified as well
aem fuel rail,venom injectors,walbro 255 lph fuel pump,and holley fuel pressure regulator

i plan on purchasing the msd ignition that you can retard the timing from inside the car

the engine can take the nitrous beating better now that u have worked on it. BUT keep in mind its still goin to put some more wear and tear on the engine.......its not indestructible now.....it just takes the beating easier. If u stick to like a 50 shot ud prolly have no problems..........goin higher is up to u.

Zex = Ub3r**** ~ Venom = **** Edelbrock = cant say, never used/had friends who have used
Dont buy nitrous kits. Use ebay and magazines to buy individual parts and build your own for far cheaper than a kit. If I were you I would go through NOS/NX to get parts, as they are pretty reliable.

You should be able to run a 75-100 shot fine on that as long as you dont beat the **** out of the engine. Get a computer controlled switch so you can controll when it activates. Also I would retard 2 - 4 degree to be safe.

hmmmmmn ive ran a 75 wet shot of zex on my old 1.5 which held up for 6 months and then another 6 months of a turbo. its really mostly to due with tuning. weve ran 150 shot dry on a completly stock ls for quite some time also. from your list of mods, your biggest concern will be the overbored factory sleeves holding up. everything else seems to be up to par to take quite a bit of nitrous. also if your intentions are running a 100 shot or larger i personally recomend a direct port nitrous kit either NOS or nitrous express.

Yeah, your biggest concern is going to be making sure you don't blow a nice chunk out of one of your cylinders.
