Default how much boost?

If you put a turbo on a b18 with b16 head on it how much boost could you probably manage to get out of that?

Depends how long you want your engine to last. If you want a reason to do an engine swap, boost it up to 30psi (only if you want the engine swap!).

Won't putting a B16 head on a B18 raise the compression to like 10:2 - 10:4?

Not a good comp ratio for boost, or much boost anyway.

well if you do some serious bottom end mods (4340 alloy steel crank, titanium rods, low comp pistons, AEBS sleeves, along with extensive head work) you could get up to 30 i bet.

Well yeah, if you are gonna lower the compression with new pistons then you can raise boost pressure, but he didn't say he was gonna bulletproof the bottom end.

I was curious I don't know **** really haha. I just read somewhere that putting a b16 head on a b18 lowers the compression and what not.

The combustion chamber is what determines compression, and the B16 head has pretty high comp. Maybe if you put the B18 head on the B16 you could be comfortable with 6-8 psi.

But then agian I don't know diddly about the B, since I'm rockin the Super D.
