IMO GT28 is a great turbo for a SOHC.

But I have lowered my compression ratio to 9.5:1 with JE pistons.... if I use a gt30 then it will take more time to spool... anyways.. keep coming to this topic.. this week probably i will have my manifold out of the custom docks.. i wil have it put and check at what rpm the boost starts..

Can you suggest me which RC injectors i should buy and how many cc's ... Thanks for your help..

Those goals are pretty low. If it were me I would have usedthe stock block, tubular manifold, 14b mitsu turbo (or a GT28R like you), DSM 450cc injectors, walbro pump, ITR cams, and have it tuned/DIY tune it.

Hi,

Folks... My manifold has come and my tuner also has another non ball bearing turbo, a GT35 with 0.70 a/r, he tells me to have put this turbo than the GT2840R...

But now, I dont know if I would like to have the GT35 or GT28 R... All I want is turbo to start Spooling at 3000-3500 rpm without any problems.

Please give me your reccommendations.. reviews... opinions... any answer pleaseeeeeee...

Hey, Guys...
Thisis my setup... GT35 with externalW/g... 2.5" piping from TURBO to Intercooler... and a 3" piping from Intercooler to Intake Manifold.... 2.5" piping from Turbo to Exhaust (DOWN PIPE)...

Now what is happening.. when I give throttle the car runs smooth till 4500 rpm.. i feel the boost is about to start at 5000 rpm, but the at 5500-6000 rpm, the Car makes a funny sound like burp burp burp or a loud cracking sound... The blow off valve works good... it blows when throttle is released at 4500 RMP.. But when i reach that band of 5500-6000 rpm.. the gauge read 0.5 bar boost and the car makes a bruupppppp or a crackkkkkkkk sound and then the BLOW off valve also makes its SWOOOSH sound....

I checked the Fuel pump, Injectors, leaks in the Piping, Fuel Pressure... everything possible... But then it just doesnt seem to recitfy the problem...

Anyone someone.. pleaseeeeeee help...... !!

Also,

Boost is not that effective.. I just cant feel that PUSH which you get from the trubo.. I also noticed when the Car makes that BRUUP BRUUP or Crack sound.. the Air Fuel was 16-18.5 reading..

I am running the Greddy for the emanage ... When we did the 1st run trial, we heard the funny sound.. then we thought it was a problem with the tunning.. So we tuned the greddy plotted some more fuel to go at higher rpm 5000-9000 .. but then the problem did not get solved.... Then we cleaned the injectors, fuel filter, check the fuel pump... but still no solution..

Has any1 experience the brupp brupp brupp... phaaaaaaat sound in their turbo setup????How did u rectify it.. or where was the problem?
