5 hours

It should take a good tunner no more than 2 hours tops and it will be the best mod you can do to your car
for a civic? maybe. have you ever tuned on a UTEC? WAYYYYY more to tune than on a VAFC.

Ok, got a lot of info comin in that's good. How exactly do you figure out when you retard the timing, that you're getting a say 11:5? I was gonna have my car proffesionally tuned, but around where I live I doubt they have any dynos. Hell, I don't even know of any good tuners. Is it possible to tune with out a dyno? Also, I was thinking of running 7-8 PSI, is that a bit too much to take for a poor ol' auto tranny?

Thanks guys!
I dont think you really understand... timing is basically when the spark happens. 11:5 (I think you mean 11:1) is the air fuel ratio which is the ratio of air to fuel that is compressed in the chamber each time. timing is controlled in different ways with different cars. Mine is electronically controlled others are run off of a "timing chain"

I tune my setup myself with a wideband oxygen sensor (Innovate motorsports, LM-1): It ran me about $350 but is well worth it. All I ever need from a dyno now is a hp/torque curve.

I also tune off a turboXS "tuna light" (the cheaper version) wideband, but sadly mine was 479 bucks.

Also, why would someone run longer then me with a dyno tune? I will tune to a safe 11.3 while on a dyno they will push upwards of 12 just to show me better numbers.
