FMU needed after chip and basemap
I just got my PR3 back and it has been chipped and has a basemap on it for my modifications (B16A w/ fulldrag kit (http://www.raceinspired.com/p-1519-d...b16a-b16b.aspx), rc saturated 440cc injectors, type R cams, 70mm TB). I am taking it in on monday to be tuned on the dyno w/ crome. My question is do i have to disconnect the FMU I installed with my turbo kit or do i leave it on? From what I gathered the FMU forces more fuel into engine in response to the boost produced by the turbocharger (please correct me if i am wrong i am still learning) but isn't having my ECU chipped with a basemap doing the same thing? this is my first experience with a turbocharged civic so please let me know b/c i don't want car to get f***** up. thanks

Hey man, let me know how you like the CROME program. I just had my P28 chipped and a nice CROME base put on it. Yes, you have to lose the FMU and anything else will conflict with the new ECU. I had to take off my FMU, Apex-i VAFC, and missing link. Good thing is im just going to sell them on EBAY and use the money for the tune.

I will let u know what I think of CROME t34me, but it will not be until next week b/c my tuner said his dyno is down for repairs for a week (sucks for me!!)
