ebay turbo kit

the listing looks good..the picture is complete... product descriptions are good... but the cost is just too good to be true... they're still making good money on the kit so corners were cut somewhere. i can't imagine that much of the materials are of good quality.
it'd be a cool experiment and it might work, but i'd just wait until you could get a reputable kit. but hey, depending on how adventurous you are and if you have a back up car, it'd be a fun project

i'll be getting a custom downpipe and i guess a new oil line kit with this kit, most likely either a greddy or synapse BOV, and an OBD2 to OBD1 harness and a new ECU(not sure what kind though). is that pretty much all i need to run ~180whp on an otherwise stock D16Y7 with 60K miles on it?

did you do a compression test?i wouldnt even buy a kit if your engine fails a compression test. Also, i would buy a new oil line kit, probably from stealthmodeperformance but the ebay bov's are actually not TOO terribly bad and do their job. I have a synapse bov and love it. Also, get the welds reinforced on the manifold, make sure to clock the turbo (big mistake most people dont do) get new gaskets (OEM ones) Theres a lot more i could go on about but im tired
