Default automatic to manual

I i have an automatic 2000 civic ex coupe. How hard would it be to swap my auto to a manual transmission? I hear that the autos cant handle hardly any power so i would like to swap it depending on if its worth it or not...?

^ And you'd want to get the manual set of pedals, slave cylinder, clutch lines, ecu... there's a bunch of stuff you'd need. Just have to make a list of what you need, have it all ready to go, and it isn't too hard. What do you plan on doing to your car that you don't want the auto tranny? Do you just want a manual just because it is that much better than auto or do you plan on making more power. If you boost the auto tranny will give out in 5 min, but basic bolt ons are nothing and the tranny would be okay.

^ Maybe the clutch pedal obvious, but you really need to change the brake pedal too. The auto brake pedal is a lot wider than the manual one, making dangerously close to the clutch pedal...
